General Objective: By the end of the week, students will be able to identify and recognize all uppercase and lowercase letters of the alphabet.
Lesson 1: Introduction to the Alphabet- Start by introducing the concept of the alphabet and explain that it is a set of letters that represent sounds in our language.- Display a chart or a poster with the alphabet and go through each letter, emphasizing their shapes and names.- Have the children repeat the names of the letters after you.
Lesson 2: Letter Recognition- Focus on teaching the children to recognize and identify the letters of the alphabet.- Use flashcards or alphabet puzzles to help the children practice identifying the letters.- Play games like "I Spy" where you have them find specific letters in the classroom or on objects around them.
Lesson 3: Letter Formation- Teach the children how to write each letter by demonstrating the correct stroke order and direction.- Have them practice tracing the letters on worksheets or using sand, clay, or finger paint.- Use sensory activities, such as forming letters with playdough or tracing letters on textured surfaces, to make learning more engaging.

Lesson 4: Letter Sounds
– Introduce the letter sounds alongside the letter recognition activities.
– Use visual aids like pictures and objects that start with each letter sound to reinforce the connection between letters and their sounds.
– Practice sounding out simple words by blending the sounds of the letters together.

Lesson 5: Letter Review and Reinforcement– Review previously taught letters and their sounds using various games and activities.– Provide worksheets or coloring pages that focus on writing and identifying letters.
– Instruct them to trace and write the letters in the designated spaces.
– Provide opportunities for students to share what they have learned by identifying letters on posters or flashcards.

– Teach children the order of the alphabet from A to Z.
– Use interactive activities like singing the alphabet song or arranging letter cards in order.
– Reinforce the order by engaging in activities that involve sequencing, such as putting a set of random letters in alphabetical order.
Remember to keep the lessons interactive and hands-on, allowing for plenty of practice and reinforcement of the alphabet concepts. Adapt the activities and pace to meet the individual needs and learning styles of the children in your class.
